FAQs for Short Term Courses

  • Who can apply? What are the eligibility criteria?
    ATDC offers Short Term Programsunder ISDS, MOT, GOI advancing forward on the agenda to ‘Target-Train-Transform’ with focus on employability especially for school dropouts, less educated youth, women, disadvantaged section of the society, differently abled, rural, semi-urban, special section such as transgenders, jail inmates, OBC, Safai Karamchari etc. Minimum qualification required is a 5th or 8th pass for short-term courses.
  • What is the duration of the courses?
    The SMART fast track curricula help in bringing out a more scientific approach to the training of shopfloor workforce. The duration of the courses varies from 30 days to 60 days.
  • What is rolling admissions?
    The enrolment of SMART candidates is open whole year and the batch starts on every 8th, 18th& 28th of every month for smooth coordination of the batches and to maintain uniformity.
  • What training courses does ATDC offer to its students?
    There are 6 different courses for Short Term Courses giving the student enough option to choose with one’s own interest and skill. Candidates are sponsored by different Apex Agencies and other State Government Agencies.
  • What are the future prospects after completion of my course?
    100% placement assistance is provided. The National Placement Cell at ATDC National Head Office plays a pivotal role between the industry and the student community through meaningful interaction to bring awareness to the faculty and the students and prepare them according to the changing demands of the industry. It is also responsible for identifying the right candidate for the organization by inviting reputed companies from both export and domestic sector by organizing Rozgar Melas and placement drives to conduct campus interviews for recruitment of students and thus providing a constructive feedback.
  • Is this a full time or a part-time course?
    It’s a full-time course of 8 hours every day and every candidate is required to attend all the classes, practical and other prescribed curricular and co-curricular activities regularly completing the duration of the course. Student’s attendance shall be maintained with the help of Bio-metric system. Minimum 80% attendance is mandatory for appearing in the final assessment and award of Certificate/ Diploma/ Advance Diploma by ATDC.In some cases where candidates are not able to devote 8 hrs. (5-6 hrs. per day) batch is also made accordingly.
