ATDC Affiliates with AMH SSC for ‘17 Job Roles’ For Apparel Sector
Apparel Training & Design Centre (ATDC) - Apparel Made-Ups & Home Furnishing Sector Skill Council (AMHSSC) Affiliation Agreements for 17 Job Roles in Apparel sector is a step forward towards establishing competence of ATDCs desiring of delivering vocational training from NVEQF/NVQF/NSQF level 1 to 10 which is based on National Occupational Standards (NOS) created by AMH SSC constituted with National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC). The Affiliation Certificate was handed over by Dr. A Sakthivel, Chairman, AMHSSSC to Shri Virender Uppal, Chairman, ATDC/AEPC in presence of Dr. Darlie Koshy, DG&CEO , ATDC , Dr. Roopak Vasistha, CEO, AMH SSC with an aim to strengthen both ATDC & AMH SSC and beneficial for the entire sector,
ATDC largest network & Vocational Training Provider (VTP) in Garment & Fashion, having all the competency and availability of desired infrastructure matching the requirements of delivering National Occupation Standards (NOS) based training, affiliated with Apparel Made-Ups & Home Furnishing Sector Skill Council for delivering elements of a currently set-up NOS based vocational training. The alignment of ATDCs and AMH SSC through the process of Affiliation will focus on learning and development of the learners so that they are easily employable in the apparel sector/ industry. The process is also expected to encourage ATDCs to pursue continual excellence so that they are always in tune with the requirements of the industry. Thus the purpose of Affiliation is to maintain high standards of quality in delivering NOS based vocational training.
Where AMH SSC objective is to create a credible and effective mechanism with the support of relevant and interested stakeholders for managing the task of skill development across the country for meeting the current and future skill needs of the Apparel industry. With a Vision to be the leading and apex body of Apparel sector and main task will be develop skill competency standards and qualifications, bench marking it with international standards and to work with the Apparel industry to train existing workforce and new inductees in PPP mode and advocacy of Services by ensuring Right Skills in the Right Place at the Right Time.
