The 74th India International Garment Fair (IIGF) was formally inaugurated by the Hon’ble Union Minister of Textiles, Shri Giriraj Singh, at Yashobhoomi, Dwarka, New Delhi. The inaugural ceremony was held in the august presence of Dr. A. Sakthivel, Chairman, AEPC, IIGF & ATDC, and Shri Rakesh Vaid, Vice Chairman, IIGF & ATDC, along with senior industry leaders, exporters, and dignitaries from the apparel trade. The 74th IIGF once again stands as a premier global platform showcasing India’s apparel strength, innovation, skilled workforce, and export excellence.

As Chairman of Usha Fabs Group, a leading manufacturer and exporter of readymade garments, he has played a pivotal role in enhancing India’s apparel sector.• During his tenure as Chairman of the Apparel Exports Promotion Council (AEPC), Shri Vaid collaborated closely with government ministries, shaping export policies and promoting Indian garments on the global stage. He led initiatives such as international fashion shows like ‘URJA’ and the India International Garment Fair, creating valuable platforms for exporters to connect with global buyers. Visit of HCLF Dignitary Ms. Isabella Catherine from England to ATDC-Guindy Yuvakendra.

We were delighted to welcome Ms. Isabella Catherine, Guest of the HCL Foundation from England, along with Ms. Sameena from the Chennai Team, to ATDC-Guindy Yuvakendra. The visit aimed to provide an overview of the ongoing training initiatives and student engagement at the center. Ms. Isabella interacted with the AMT students, engaging in meaningful conversations about their training experiences, learning journey, and future aspirations. Her encouraging words and keen interest offered great motivation to the students while giving her valuable first-hand insights into their skill development. She also explored a beautiful display of handicrafts created by the students. Ms. Isabella admired the creativity, craftsmanship, and dedication showcased in the exhibits, appreciating the positive impact of the training programs supported by the HCL Foundation. A heartfelt thank you to Ms. Isabella and the HCL Foundation team for their continuous support and encouragement!

Tool Kit Distribution Ceremony – 17th November 2025 | ATDC Sohagpur

We are delighted to share the success of the Tool Kit Distribution Ceremony held at ATDC Sohagpur under the SECL–CSR Skill Development initiative. ATDC began its partnership with South Eastern Coalfields Limited (SECL) with the signing of an MoU on 12th February 2025 in the presence of Ms. Rupinder Brar, IRS, Additional Secretary, Ministry of Coal, Govt. of India. Under this collaboration, SECL has sanctioned training for 400 candidates. Currently, two batches (30 candidates each) are undergoing training at the rent-free built-up space provided by SECL at Sohagpur. On 17th November 2025, we were honoured to welcome a delegation from SECL: Shri N. Franklin Jaykumar, Director (Technical), SECL, Bilaspur Shri B.K. Jena, Area General Manager, SECL, Sohagpur Area Shri Manish Kumar Shrivastava, General Manager (Operations) Shri Gaurav Singhal, Manager (CSR), SECL, Sohagpur In their august presence, the Tool Kit Distribution Ceremony for SECL-sponsored SET candidates was successfully conducted. The dignitaries handed over tool kits to all trainees, interacted with them, and motivated them with encouraging words. They emphasized the importance of skill development and the vast opportunities in the Apparel Sector. The students expressed heartfelt gratitude to SECL and ATDC for enabling them to build a promising career. They shared their learning experiences, highlighting hands-on training on various industrial sewing machines and the ability to make garments like kurtas, blouses, shirts, trousers, palazzos, and more. ATDC remains committed to empowering youth and women through industry-relevant, livelihood-oriented training, contributing to a skilled workforce for the apparel industry.
